The one on the left is your classic pineapple grenade which dates from the Second World War. The one on the right is a more modern grenade that began service in the Vietnam War I believe. Both have a good deal of heft to them as they are made from cast iron. They're fun paperweights. Both do have their pin mechanism intact though I won't be pulling the pin anytime soon as to me that would get rid of the charm of having what appears to be a live grenade. It is fairly large and hangs in the hallway. The man in the painting is my late father, and I do not remember which of my siblings is there on his shoulders. It might even be me! This painting has a great amount of sentimental value to my mother, my siblings, and I. True to my dad's memory, the size of the painting is not intimidating and the warmth of the moment still shines through, and so it is actually quite comforting to pass by in the hallway. The watch also sends notifications from my phone, and it gives regular reminders to stand, walk around, and to move more if I have been particularly sedentary on a certain day.<br /><br />The most important aspect of the watch's design is the ability to customize the software. Title A name given to the resource Shark Magnet Subject The topic of the resource Personal Objects Description An account of the resource This is a magnet I got from a North Carolina Aquarium when I went on a beach trip with my roommate and her family a couple years ago. All of the kids got to spend the day out at the aquarium and at dinner. The sharks are a major feature of the aquarium and are some of the coolest things there since it is a relatively small location. This magnet is designed as a pun as it is playing directly on the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon. Where the prism is on the album cover, the shark's triangular dorsal fin takes that place. The magnet uses the notoriety of Pink Floyd along with the interest that sharks draw to create an enticing curio. The magnet is currently on our fridge alongside other aquarium and tourism magnets. It answers the question, "How much has Apple outsourced its production?" which was a poignant topic back when this graphic was published in 2016. The graphic breaks down an extremely complicated object and makes it simple to understand for those with no technology manufacturing experience: Here is the name of the part, and here's where it's from. It doesn't say what a DRAM does or why it needs three power amplifiers from three different locations, but that's not the information that's important to viewers. It streamlines the graphic by decolorizing everything into white lines to make each part easily identifiable, and the bubbles in the top half emulate the disparate parts of the world where each is from.
