The sculpture captures a man and a woman passionately kissing in the nude which highlights their sensuality and the realness of their depicted raw selves and emotions. The woman and man’s hand placement upon each other's body adds to this emotional scene as they are entwined passionately with each other. This is especially evident by the women’s arm around his neck and his hand placed upon her hip. The way they sit and hold each other is very believable and implies genuine passion and love. Title A name given to the resource "You" Subject The topic of the resource A screenshot from a Netflix series called "You" Description An account of the resource "You" is a show about an obsessed stalker named Joe Goldberg who "falls in love" deeply with the women that he meets. He spends the entirety of the show justifying his actions, which the audience gets to hear through his voice-over narration. This screenshot, taken in the last episode of the second season, is after a major reveal in which Joe's girlfriend turns the tables on him, and reveals that she has also done all the obsessive, crazy actions that he has done. This is the first time his reactions are reflected back at him and he is faced with the reality of his personality. What is interesting about the context of this Netflix series, and other shows made for streaming platforms, are the conventions of television that are held over despite the difference in medium. One such convention is leaving room for commercial breaks. Despite the fact that Netflix does not have commercials, it still is sectioned and organized by cuts to commercials. This specific screenshot is taken right after a climatic reveal, which on television would have warranted a break to allow the information and emotions of the audience to sink in. No separate form of storytelling has yet emerged - or, at least, has become popular - for telling television stories that are not organized around commercials. Title A name given to the resource Abbey Road Subject The topic of the resource Photography Description An account of the resource This is the cover of the famous Beatles album Abbey Road. This street crossing is directly in front of The Beatles' main recording studio in London. From their photo shoot, this image was the only one where all of the musicians were stepping at the same time. This cover photo is the first of their album covers to exclude both the group and album name. By the time this photo was taken, everyone knew The Beatles, so the photo didn't have to advertise them; it didn't need to be a large dramatic experience. The photo plays on the simplicity and appeal to the everyday through its understated action. The musicians are in relatively normal clothing rather than extensive costuming and there is no set, rather just a normal street in London. There is minimal staging in this photo and that plays into the appeal of the band as a young rock group that anyone could listen to and love. The band had very little production that went into the album cover, especially compared to the more complex covers like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band, Yellow Submarine, and Magical Mystery Tour. In this photo, the band is simply crossing a street. Paul McCartney is smoking a cigarette and isn't even wearing shoes. This album marked a major upswing in the Band's trajectory, following interpersonal turmoil two albums prior; though this was their last album to be recorded. This photo also reflects a simplicity of the music in the album. The songs in Abbey Road are some of the most famous Beatles songs, but also contain a more grassroots quality as they don't have as many perplexing stories as in Rubber Soul nor as many instrumental effects.
