Title A name given to the resource World Market Candle Subject The topic of the resource Small, 65g candle Description An account of the resource The item I chose to analyze for this week is a small candle from World Market. The reason I found this object interesting is that, compared to many other companies, World Market generally makes their candles seem less flashy or colorful in design. This particular candle is named "Clementine & Honey," and the colors used for the jar and the label are a very neutral yellow and brown. While some candles have very specific or creative names, this presentation is very straightforward and rather plain. The font on the label is simple and easy to read. Furthermore, the information about the candle is readily available on the front of the jar, rather than hidden on the bottom. In contrast, companies such as Bath & Body Works often make candles with bright colors and unique labels that easily catch the eye. This seems like World Market's attempt to make candles that appear more relaxing, authentic, or possibly vintage.
