The Xbox one controller is the latest iteration of Microsoft's attempts at controller design. The standard controller come in a matte black color, but is available in others. The two features that stand out the most visually are the A, X, Y, & B buttons on the right side of the controller and the home button in the upper center of the controller. These buttons are the most important buttons on the controller. They have the most versatility and are assigned the most important tasks. The controller's size is also of importance. Unlike most other consoles, the xbox controller is rather sizeable. It fills the hands. This suggests it was made with an older, more masculine audience involved.
