This is a USB Splitter I recently bought because my laptop only has one USB port. This allows my computer to have four USB ports and can control which ports are being used with buttons. The blue light indicates which ports are being used. Its sleek design allows it to blend in with other computer products on my desk. Its choice of color (black) was probably to blend with other tech devices that are often black. It is slim and can be hidden easily if needed. The blue color for the light was probably chosen because blue represents trust and is a relaxing color. This is a product that you want to last a long time and have durability and the color blue conveys that. The color green often refers to battery life and this doesn't provide that function.
