Description

This is a bench in Uptown Charlotte with an interesting design. It is painted green to reflect their initiative towards environmentally conscious decisions for the city, It also blends with the trash can and recycle bin close by to further prove this point. Another observation about this bench is that it has an armrest in the middle. This design seems to be made for one of the people sitting in the chair because it is not large enough to support two. The bench is big enough for three people but it divides it into two. The bench is also supported from a hidden metal rod which makes the bench look like its floating from this angle. This could be to make the city look more advanced in technology with this design. The design of the bench looks comfortable and supportive which is inviting to the people of Charlotte to stop and take a break. These benches are also located within bus stop structures making it another place to take shelter when its raining or dark out.
