Post Modernism Furniture-Egg Chair

Subject

Egg Chair

Description

This chair was designed by Eero Aarnio in 1963 and was presented at the International Furniture Fair in Cologne in 1966. The chair name is Ball Chair, but most people at NC State refer to these chairs as the Egg Chairs. These chairs can be found in DH Hill Library. These chairs offer comfy seating for all of the body. The egg-shaped chair allows people to feel inclosed to allow privacy and block some sight/noise. These chairs also spin in circles allowing users to situate themselves at the angle they want to face.
