The Roku remote is a device that requires visual literacy due to the fact that it is relatively different than most normal remotes. If you had not used a Roku before, it is likely you would not completely understand this remote at first glance. Aside from the "Ok" button and the four buttons at the bottom, the rest of the buttons on the remote only contain different icons. While the Home and Back button may be more obvious to some, the star/asterick button is less clear. Furthermore, there is no power button or any buttons to adjust the volume of the television. Someone who had not used this remote before would likely not initially realize that for this TV a secondary remote is needed as well.
