Description

This photo is of a mural found on Clarion Alley in the Mission district of San Francisco. The photo uses strong contrasting black and white colors making stand out amongst its colorful neighbors. The artist uses this mural to bring attention to police brutality against African Americans. The author uses repeated typography in that background that says “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH STOP KILLING OUR CHILDREN” to present their stance. That repeated statement creates an emotional impact on viewers. They also portray a mother and child both looking petrified signifying how scared they are living in a society that allows this brutality to exist. The artist uses simple, yet elegant elements to present a political problem that exists in society.
