Description

This is a picture of my beloved dog that I took at the Fire Tower at the Flat Top Tower Hike site. The Flat Top Tower Hike is part of the Cone Memorial Park, in Boone, NC. The park is located just outside of Blowing Rock on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This estate was donated to the National Park Service in 1949 after the death of Bertha Cone. Although this hike is considered as relatively easy, due to mostly flat terrains, it takes about 2 hours to reach the fire tower at the top. This pictures represents many things to me. It holds a lot of good memories of this road trip I took to NC with my dog, and it also proves that my Bear (his name) still has a lot of energy in him despite turning 12 this year. This picture is very dear to me because I am proud that I was able to have Bear sit still enough for me to do a photoshoot, and proud of him for being able to make the hike without any problems. The hike packed many views into it, and this scene was particularly gorgeous because my dog was also in it (in my opinion).
